Step 1 - USAL Membership

1. Renew / join USA lacrosse as a member

2. Email owlua.umpires@gmail.com to let us know you are interested in being an official so we can put you on the email distribution list.

Step 2 - Join OWLUA

1. Register with OWLUA

2. Pay membership dues

   • Adult rate - $50

   • Youth rate - $35

Step 3 - Attend a Classroom Clinic

• Email owlua.umpires@gmail.com for information on classroom training schedules

Step 4 - pass appropriate rules exam(s)

• Take the USAL Online Rules Certification Course

Step 5 - On-Field Training and Rating

Umpires must earn a rating in order to be qualified to umpire games. Ratings can be assigned at the spring jamboree or during the season.
